CHELATES

The metal-chelate is a compound formed by a metal ion (for example Fe+3) and a complexing molecule. The chelate removes the ionic properties of the metal, remains in solution but does not react with most of the reagents that normally serve to identify it, the chelated metal has remarkable stability.
